ONE OF GOTHENBURG’S MOST UNIQUE GOLF COURSES

Test yourself against our unique 18-hole golf course full of brilliant contrasts! The course was originally shorter 9-hole course when it was first built 1991. It has since been remodelled into the impressive full-length course it is today, bursting with its grand legacy and hugely distinctive features. The older portion — a beautiful park environment with strategically placed water hazards — calls for precision and focus. The newer portion has a more modern style with longer concourses, slightly further putts, and with vast greens to make your mark.

FOUR WELL-MAINTAINED TEES WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE

At Sankt Jörgen Park you’ll find our golf course is always kept in the best condition. That’s because we make sure the tees are properly maintained and the greens are frequently manicured during the peak season. Plus, we always use single-blade mowers for optimal results. We’ve installed automatic irrigation on the greens, tees and fairways to further maintain one of the best golf courses in Gothenburg and all of Västra Götaland. We take pride in our well-maintained course and always endeavour to keep it in pristine condition, even during dry summer seasons!

The course has tees of grass and the majority of it has four separate tees for your convenience.

For an even better experience, the course features short, brisk walks between the green and the next tee with only two slightly longer exceptions. Otherwise, the distance between green and tee is no more than 25 metres.

OUR GOLF COURSE ALSO OFFERS

  • A total of 71 bunkers, 39 of which are located on the greens.
  • The biggest height difference (from the course’s lowest point to its highest point) is 35 metres. It is really only on three of the holes that you’ll really notice the height difference. From the courses’ highest point, the greens of hole 9, you are treated to a lovely view of Gothenburg and the harbour entrance of Hisingen.
  • A high course slope value that indicates the course is a bit more difficult than average. This is largely due to the course’s various strategic obstacles.
  • Our golf course has a long and visible history: it was originally designed and developed by three people. Bjarni Ingvasson created the original six holes. The next original holes, nine through eighteen, were designed in 1996 by Jan Sederholm. The remaining holes are the work of Sankt Jörgen Park’s owner, Hans Andersson.
